Crème de la crème celebrated at first BH Area Hospitality Association Recognition Awards

What a night, what a celebration. More than 200 hoteliers and sponsors gathered at Bournemouth’s Marsham Court Hotel on Sunday, October 3, for the first-ever BH Area Hospitality Association Recognition Awards. The crème de la crème of the hospitality industry in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole took their moment in the spotlight. Christchurch ballot confirms the formation of Business Improvement District.

The formation of a Business Improvement District to support trading throughout Christchurch has been confirmed after a ballot of local businesses. This follows an announcement of the ballot result today in which 78% of levy payers that voted, voted yes to support the formation of a BID within the town. The BID ballot met two key criteria that 50% of those voting, would vote in favour, and those ‘yes’ votes represented a majority of the total rateable value of all of the voting businesses. There was a majority 81.9% rateable value percentage. The ballot was facilitated and ratified with the assistance of BCP Council.
